If you’re interested in telling factual stories, then DOCLAB might be the place for you. Based at Exeter Phoenix, DOCLAB hosts monthly Development Labs that offer a welcoming, inclusive and safe space for documentary filmmakers to come together, share ideas and develop their projects.

Whether you’re just starting out, or have years of experience, the labs are designed to support and nurture filmmakers at every stage of their creative journey.

Each session provides an opportunity to workshop your documentary ideas, practice pitching to a supportive group, and share works-in-progress or completed projects for thoughtful feedback and discussion. Through peer-to-peer support, the Development Labs aim to help you grow your storytelling skills, build confidence, and connect with a vibrant community of fellow filmmakers.
