It’s not just the Devon landscape, environment, locations, cast and crew that attracts top TV productions to the region. Events do too.
The Beyond Paradise production has been spotted filming at the Beautiful Days Festival at Escot Park near Ottery St Mary.
“Festival goers were part of the background with some being asked to look in the other direction away from the camera. After the filming, the actors were seen chatting with festivalgoers and posed for selfies,” said Devon Live.
The filming saw Kris Marshall in his Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman role, Sally Bretton as his screen wife Martha and Dylan Llewellyn as Constable Hartford mingling with the crowd.
Kris was wearing a Levellers t-shirt ‘a nice nod to festival founders The Levellers,’ said the Mid-Devon Advertiser.
Beyond Paradise is set in the fictional town of Shipton Abbot, in South Devon, and it’s great to see the production in Devon.
“Proudly independent, Beautiful Days has no sponsorship or funding,” says the festival’s website, which thanked all who attended, performed or worked at BD2026, of course, they are also including the Beyond Paradise TV folk.
